Community Grant - Brumbies 4 Recovery

Brumbies 4 Recovery recently received the "Empowering our Communities - The Community Wellbeing Grant" from Western NSW PHN.

These clinics were available to anyone in the community impacted by drought. WNSW PHN provided funding for Brumbies 4 Recovery Clinics which took place in Menindee, Packsaddle and Cobar. The clinics were run by life time bushman, station operator, clinic creator and western NSW resident, Joe Hughes.

The clinic participants were taught the 4BP Training Method using wild brumbies. This unique and gentle method provides 'equine therapy' which can reduce  depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidal thoughts conflict resolution and anger management.

This project received very high praise from those involved. "What an amazing out come for my daughter! How do I ever repay or even thank everyone involved at Brumbies 4 Recovery. If it wasn't for my chance meeting of Joe & Mel my daughter would still only be half the person she used to be".
